Yearbook of the Federal Institute for Culture and History of the Germans in Eastern Europe
One of the Institute's primary aims is to provide information on current research and the most recent publications on the culture and history of the historical eastern Prussian provinces and the areas of German settlement in Eastern Europe. Therefore, the Yearbook focuses on reporting the results of new research and projects. Further priorities include documentation of the state of research, the presentation of research requests, reports from conferences, and in particular, thematic bibliographies and overviews of archival and library collections in the eastern countries of Europe.
Annotations of important publications in the countries of Eastern Central Europe have been a permanent feature of the yearbook since 1998. The content of the yearbook is divided according to the Institute´s division into four specialist areas of History, Literature/Language, Ethnography and Art History.
