Conferences

The Federal Institute for Culture and History of the Germans in Eastern Europe regularly organises academic conferences. The conference findings are usually published in the Institute series (see the conference archive).

Forum Central Europe - Eastern Europe

Since the summer semester of 1994 an interdisciplinary project, the "Forum Central Europe - Eastern Europe" is running in co-operation between the Institute and Oldenburg University. Readings, guest lectures, seminars and excursions aim to embrace the cultural and historical topography of East Central Europe, from Trieste to Riga, from Eastern Germany to Western Russia. The lecture cycle on changing topics is central to the project (see the lecture cycle archive).
